The Center for General Education at National Chung Hsing University (NCHU) , is recruiting one assistant professor on contract basis. Applicant shall possess excellent communication skills and expertise in the areas of Global and Asian Regional Studies, Cultural Studies, and Sustainability Studies.
This position requires 16 hours of lecturing per week and international teaching assignments under inter-collegiate agreements.
Applicants are expected to contribute to the university's primary educational goals, including enhancing student development through outcome-based learning and supporting the Higher Education Sprout Project, which aims to improve the quality and breadth of higher education while strengthening global competitiveness. Candidates who can embody these educational aspirations in their teaching will be given priority.
Eligibility and Required Qualifications:

1. Obtained a Ph.D. degree in areas of Law, Humanities, or Social Science-related subjects.
2. Research expertise in Global/Regional Studies, Cross-Cultural Studies, and Sustainability Studies.
3. Position will be Assistant Professor or higher.
4. Those who has English-Medium Instruction (EMI) certificates are preferred.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Lecture general-education courses.
2. Lecture courses at the International Master’s Program in Asia and China Studies and Tricontinental Master Program in Global Studies. (both programs are conducted in English)
