Dear Faculty Members,

Have you ever wondered what other teachers’ classes are actually like ?

This semester, the Teaching Resource and Development Center is pleased to invite faculty members who have been recognized as Teaching Excellence Award recipients at NCHU in previous years to open their classes for observation. This provides faculty with an opportunity to step into different teaching settings and see firsthand how instructors design their courses, interact with students, and implement teaching practices that may inspire ideas for their own courses.

Classroom observation is more than simply “sitting in on a class.” Following each observation, there will also be an opportunity for discussion, allowing observing faculty and instructors to exchange teaching ideas and practical experiences.

This activity is intended for teaching observation and professional exchange, and is not part of teaching evaluation or appraisal. Faculty members from all colleges, departments, and academic disciplines are welcome to participate, especially those interested in teaching practices, course design, or instructional methods.

To maintain the quality of both the classes and the observation experience, the number of observers for each session will be arranged according to the number of observers the instructor is able to accommodate.
