Dr. Fuh-Sheng Shieu, president of National Chung Hsing University, led an official opening ceremony at Bilingual Education Resource Center, BERC (previous name：Center Of EMI) in Wan-Nien Hall, on January 19th 2022.

In order to help Taiwan's workforce connect to the world, the government now adopts a policy to become an English-Mandarin nation by 2030.

In response to the policy and the expectation the above mentioned, BERC was established on 1st August 2021 by the Office of Academic Affairs.

"To invest students with linguistic skills for their career and prepare them for future success has brought into our mission statement now."said President Shieu.

BERC aims to advance the domestic faculty's EMI (English as a Medium of Instruction) teaching skills and enhance students' global competitiveness.
Our vision is to become an international university that guides elite professionals towards excellence.
